Sorry, I can't currently contain my excitement in actually re-finding the forum! What kind of a crappy fan am I? For the past months I have been trying to type the old url into google, etc, and not found anything, and then I decided to look on the spinto site...I STILL can't use it! Urgh. Anyway, I finally found a link via the spinto blog...It'd be staring me in the face all this time.

How the hell is everyone?!

The worst thing is I'd signed up, and then couldn't find it again after I had, so I thought I'd dreamt joining up and tried to re-join when I found it again and then I realised it hadn't been a dream...

Yup; welcome back. Unfortunately there's not a lot going on here these days, though. I don't think Spinto is even going to SXSW this year.

O RLY? TONS of stuff is going on. Not really public stuff, I guess...but I personally feel busier than ever with recording and other projects. I guess there really isn't much to say besides "they are recording a new album now" though...I must say, that we've played SXSW for two years in a row now so we felt the need to take a break from that madness...as hot, drunk, loud and alluring as it is.

Signs of activity:

http://www.shark-dance.blogspot.com/ - Recording updates

http://twitter.com/spintoband - Inside jokes (and sometimes recording updates)

Other non recording stuff in the works:

A trip to Spain
(any Europeans feel like traveling to Tui?) which we are really excited about.
A kid's show
A Spinto Band videogame
A Spinto Band DVD (does any one actually watch DVDs any more?)

Sounds good to me! Wish I could afford to go to Spain. Although, Me and Charlotte (And my other sister Harriet and friend Cath) are currently saving for a trip to New York in December. Play gigs then please. (And In New York!)

What differentiates a kids show from a regular show? Will I be able to come to a kids show in full-on face paint without feeling awkward? Will there be a hokey pokey danceathon? What are the social etiquette rules regarding costumes?

Hello Vicky - I'm glad that you're back on the forum! Oh, and Charlotte too! There's a few who are still missing, though (Ozzy, Rugs and Mark are the ones I remember in particular).
