So, I've tried (again) to write the lyrics of "Vivian, don't", "The Carnival", "Needlepoint" and "Later on" ... (I do only have the "Words in order of appearance" of the first 5 songs)
If anyone feels like correcting them.
I gotta say that it's a very good way to improve in English!
LATER ON
I'm wandering a town
Just for the sake of exploration
And for future conversations
To keep pigeon toes to a minimum
So a tilt to the head to the lochs
Saved for a twist of the wrist
Later on,
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
Oh, ho, ho later on
With you arms wrapped 'round my neck
Oh, ho, ho later on
I'll struggle to hit you back
Oh, ho, ho later on
I'll stop my coming back
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
I'm wide-eyed at locals
And then committing them to memory
Seeing flemish bonds on brick's laid
To keep exteriors from crumbling
So a tip of the hat to the masons
Say for tip of the tongue conversations
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
Oh, ho, ho later on
Finding excuses for errands
Oh, ho, ho later on
But staying put for little ones
Oh, ho, ho later on
All this will make me run
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
Later on, as it grows late
And it's almost the next day
And I'm walking through the pouring rain
I will just swing around a lamp post and
Then give away my raincoat to a passerby
Who needs it more than I
And I anxiously await your reply
Later on
Oh, ho, ho later on
Oh, ho, ho later on
With you arms wrapped 'round my neck
Oh, ho, ho later on
I'll struggle to hit you back
Oh, ho, ho later on
I'll stop my coming back
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
Later on,
Oh, ho, ho later on
VIVIAN, DON'T
I made a note of our conversation to the very last word
So I could quote you on
Every empty promise that you offered
Not that I had to record it
But since you've ignored
My claims here's the source
After debate
I would have told you but
I couldn't wait to having to hold you to
Each tender phrase no matter how cliche
Why make it brief
If you've kept it up this long
To just desert me
I'll suspend disbelief
And agree you never really meant to hurt me
But if my memory serves me right
You had the nerve to clearly re-word
Ever to date
I could have told you but
I wouldn't wait to having to hold you to
Each loving praise and romantic display
Vivian don't, everyone says they will
If and they wont and why should
I wait until you swear to stay
When you left yesterday
Shake hands and separate ways
And when you make plans to break
He pulls a straight face
At any rate
I should have told you but I couldn't wait
To having to hold you to
Each longing gaze and expensive bouquet
Vivian don't, everyone says they will
If and they wont and why would
I wait until you swear to stay
When you left yesterday.
THE CARNIVAL (Really the most difficult song ever)
I've got my thin, I've got my sentencing now
I am waiting for "is?" my glasses
Oh, I, I, I, I, oh I merely need
Something to pass the time
Oh, I need a shape,
I've got the spire made
???
???
Oh, I, I, I, I, oh I ?
Something that's worth the time
Oh darling please,
Darling speak,
Oh, ho it's easy
I left my room
Put my feet back in my shoes
I left a note that
I'll be back before two
Oh, I, I, I, ah
Do I keep things about loss in life
Oh, I need to change,
I need to share a space
Spare in one place
Oh, I need ??? other ??? please
Oh, I, I, I, ah
Do I keep finding rings 'round my eyes
Oh darling please,
Darling speak
I can't help but be calmed,
I can't help but pretend,
I can't help but bemoan,
I can't help but be damned
Oh darling please,
Darling speak
Oh, ho it's easy
I thought it'd be easy,
Although it's never been
Oh it's easy,
Oh it's easy,
Oh, ho, believe me
I want to tap my feet
But you seem to be dragging
So easy, yoohoo
Oh, ho no
CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY!
I need a shape,
I've got the spire made
???
???
Oh, so I continue to ask nicely
Oh darling please,
Darling speak,
I can't help but be calmed,
I can't help but pretend,
I can't help but bemoan,
I can't help but be damned
Oh darling please,
Darling speak
Oh, ho it's easy
I thought it'd be easy.
NEEDLEPOINT
I am, just for a moment, carefully spoken, broke
And wearing what I just woke up in
I end without a warning, reasonably worn out
I got the sense that you won't be too miserable
And everybody knows
It aches the heart to go on
And sew often, I'll knit
A pattern taken from the thirteenth level's map
In Bubble Bobble again
You'll ask whether I'm mad
I'm better at acting sad,
But I'll refrain I rarely strain my voice,
But now that you're taking all of the other waking
Hours ahead of us, I'll forget it
And everybody sews,
But it takes a girl with know-how
To know how to plow through
An autumn colored scene depicting
You and me careening on a see-saw
But now that you've shown disinterest in the thought
I've taken that it's not
What I've sewn that's driven you to leave
It's got to do with me
I can, just for a moment, see if it's torn or not
And if it is then you might as well stitch the "?"
Walking at night, drinking again,
Sulking at sight of your girlfriend,
Loiter inside, needle in hand,
Embroidering myself as planned but
Stranded across an empty seat
Since you've shown disinterest in the thought
I've taken that it's not
What I've sewn that's driven you to leave
It's making me believe
That what you've done to me
Has got to do with me.
